Tuscia events

The villages of Tuscia are home to multiple festive events, have centuries-old origins, others are recent, but, not rarmente particularly impressive.

Here are a few.

Santa Rosa in Viterbo, declared intangible heritage of humanity by UNESCO. The center of the festival is the transport of a 30 meter bell tower, weighing more than about 5000 kg, along the streets of the historic center. Ancient ceremony, engaging and impressive.

The transport is performed on the night of September 3rd, but the celebration lasts for several days.
This is a tradition that dates back to 1258.
